I forgot to mention: The segfaults occur regardless of the executable passed to
`add-inferior`; I just chose `pwd` for example.

I tried this (with the fix for bug 20981 in place) and it works
for me on High Sierra. I'm closing it; if it is still a problem
for you, please reopen and attach a gdb stack trace if possible.
